PRP treatment is a unique process involving taking a sample of a patient’s blood, and then separating the platelets using a centrifuge. The platelet-rich plasma is injected into the scalp.
The process of extracting platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the blood involves the following steps:
-blood collection: a small amount of blood will be drawn
-centrifugation: that sample is then placed in a centrifuge (a machine that spins at high speeds) where the different components of the blood will then separate based on their different densities
-PRP extraction: after the blood is spun in this centrifuge, the PRP portion of the blood, which is rich in growth factors, is carefully extracted and can then be used for treatment

PRP works by stimulating the growth of new hair follicles as well as improving the quality of existing hair follicles, making them thicker and less likely to fall out. This gives men and women the benefit of thicker remaining hair and quality “new” hair that grows from the follicles after PRP injections.
